Mr Michael Pereyra Gabilo,PTRP,DHPEd, is the president of the Philippine Physical Therapy Association. He is presently affiliated with Metropolitan Medical Center College of Arts, Science and Technology as a Faculty member in the colleges of Physical Therapy, Medical Technology, Dentistry, and Medicine, and also holds other positions in the same institution.

He completed his Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, and Post-grad diploma in Health Profession Education from the University of the Philippines Manila. He also finished the Basic Occupational Safety and Health Course provided by the Department of Labor and Employment.

In this 2-part conversation, we talked about what PPTA is and what it does for the profession and practice of physical therapy in the Philippines, some misconceptions of what PPTA is, the different subgroups under the organizations - chapters, special interest groups, and committees.
